Help! My mail-order Lily bulbs arrived sprouted

I received mail-order Lily bulbs, and 3 of them arrived sprouted, a good 2-3 inches. Is this a problem? The sprout was horribly curved, and I planted it immediately, but hope this will not effect the growing and blooming ability of the Lily Bulb. It was a lilium species bulb of Lily Lady Alice.

I've bought end of season clearance bulbs before, sometimes they had sprouted 8-10". Makes it hard to plant, but they did fine. They did bloom much better the 2nd year, but remember these were local stock & probably not as big as some mail order companies. Had to look it up, lovely lily!
