Tried WoodenShoe Lilies

I tried not to order any more lily bulbs this spring but I just could not stop myself. I just can not stay away from temptation. I just ordered 25 RED ALERT and 25 BLACK OUT. I got the 14-16 cm size for Black Out, which was the largest they offered, and the 16-18 cm upgrade size for RED ALERT.

I bought 3 RED ALERT bulbs from B&D lilies and those are planted in my front yard but I really flipped for this lily. I just love red asiatics. So I decided to get the 25 for a row by my driveway. And since I like red asiatics so much, got the 25 BLACK OUT for a row in the garden by the garage.

I have never tried this company before and they do not sell less than 25 of anything so it is only good for those larger plantings. Can't remember who gave me the link for WoodenShoe Bulbs but I am glad they did, thanks!!!

The Fed Ex Guy brought the WoodenShoe order early this afternoon. That was fast!! Anyway there are nice sized plastic bags with lily bulbs mass packed in damp moss. I unpacked and I see what they mean by pre cooled. Those things are COLD. Very cold to the touch. I have never received bulbs like that before. Nice bulbs.

They are all planted and now I am ready for them to grow and to enjoy the summer show they will put on when they are blooming.

wow! 50 bulbs. thats got to be a field and not a garden. nice though, i'd like to see some pics when they start blooming.
