The first year my Stargazers were just over 2' high. 3 or 4 summers later they were 4' tall. They are just starting to multiply and I can't say how thrilled I was last year to stand my 8 year old next to them and they were almost the same height. I hardly had to bend over to smell them! I can't remember if they went straight from 2 feet to 4 feet or if it was gradual. The flowering has definitely improved with time too.

My Stargazer lilies get to 4' (or taller!) as is true of most oriental lilies. When I bought them potted they were only 2' tall. (Potted lilies are "grown short" to help with shipping.)

Bulbs:
Many bulb sellers put generic Oriental Lily info up for every oriental bulb they sell, (for height this would be 36" - 48" inches). However, a characteristic of Muscadet is that it's a shorter oriental (reported as 2'-3') and earlier bloomer (July vs. August). Where a particular plant falls in that range will depend on garden conditions (esp. amount of sun) and, for "first season" plants, the condition and size of the bulb.

If your "other things" are over 3' tall you'll probably want to move the Muscadet to the front and leave the Stargazers where they are. You can carefully move them now or see how they do this summer and move them in the Fall (the safer option). If you move them now, be careful not to break off the stem and disturb the roots as little as possible. (Dig a chunk of soil up with the bulb and transplant the whole thing.) If a stem gets damaged replant the bulb anyway and it will come up the following year.

For as beautiful as they are, Lilies are actually pretty tough plants and can take some handling, as long as you don't chop them up while digging! :)
