I bought Stargazer lilies last year around early July. They bloomed wonderfully, and in the fall when they wilted, I cut the stems nearly down to the ground. They had grown little purple things on the bottom part of the stem. Not too sure what they are..

Well, my father covered up the stem bottom with soil to protect it from squirrels and the winter.

Moreover, this spring when i was inspecting the soil, I saw little bulbs in the soil, or bulblets as i've read, fairly close to the surface. When I picked it up, It literally broke apart in my hand, and now I really don't know what I should do with them...

Please help. I'm a beginner and I would love to see my plant thrive. :)
