Queen Anne Lily of the Nile

I am not sure if I am asking this in the right forum or not, but I hope someone can help. I received a Queen Anne Lily of the Nile plant for Mothers Day. I am in zone 4 and they are only rated for zone 8-11. Can I plant it outdoors and pull the bulb (??) in the fall? Or would it be best to just dig the plant and pot it for the inside wintering??? Or should I just give up and treat it like an annual here in Wisconsin??????? Help!!

IME, agapanthus grow very well as container plants, especially the dwarf forms like 'Queen Anne'. Use a reasonably sized container and a high quality potting soil. Grow outdoors in full sun in summer and bring indoors after first frost. Needs to be stored in winter somewhere where temps hover right around freezing, but not much below.

Otherwise, you'll need to treat this as an annual :-)
