I am in Philadelphia area, zone 6b.

I bought a bag of 15 mixed oriental lily bulbs (no detailed variety name) earlier this spring. Now 10 of the 15 have sprouted, the tallest is about 10 inches tall with 3 or 4 what seems to be half-inch long buds on them, the smallest sprout is only 2 inches tall.

I read about the bloom time for oriental lilies is July - August. Is it normal for oriental lilies to have buds this early?

Also, for the 5 bulbs that still have not sprouted yet, should I wait patiently? Or probably they are dead?
