is there a difference between stargazer and starfire?

I bought some Stargazer orientals and they look fine but at the florist i see that theirs were called starfire. One big difference that i saw was the size of the stem. Mine had a 1+ inch diameter while theres only around 1/4 in. Are these two different varieties? If so does any have a good mail order source for starfire - I prefer smaller stems for cut flower arrangements.

There is no lily 'Starfire'. You probably saw 'Starfithter' lily. It is similar to 'Stargazer', but with crisper white edge. There are several varieties with shorter stems and with 'Stargazer's coloration: 'Showwinner', 'Pimento'. The best source for them I know is Hallson's Gardens. You can see these Lilies here.
Lily Pad also sells 'Starfighter'.

thanks but i'm not looking for shorter stems, i'm looking for thinner ones, narrow drinking straw-like, the ones florists' sells. That's weird to here about, no starfire. Thank you anyways.
