need plant id--possibly a lily?

I would like to know what these plants are. They are leafy at the bottom, then have a section of bare stem, then a ring of flowers, then a tuft of leaves at the top. Plant looks a bit like a lily, but the flower is not as showy, and I've never seen a lily with the leaf-tuft thing at the top either. But I am not at all a gardening expert, so I am hoping someone out there knows what this thing is!

These are not Lilies. They are Fritillarias.
