| i have a Houdini lily that i bought 2 years ago. It spouted, flowered, did its thing that lilies are supposed to do both years. This year, however, it has done absolutely nothing. It is in a pot, and i wonder if my cat has found a favorite place to "water" the outside...
Would this affect the lily? Today i got bored of schoolwork and decided to dig it up and see if it was dead. There was a great many ants running around on it, but it was a pretty dark purple, with a white tuft of (roots?)- it looked still alive to me. So, i submerged it in water to get the ants off, and i am going to put it back into the pot of dirt. Should i just leave it and wait until next year for blooms? What can i do? Is there still a chance for late blooming? i am very disappointed because i absolutely love lilies, and have come to look forward to seeing my little Houdini. Thank you everyone in advance. |

| It needs new dirt. Nutrients have been used up in the old mix. |
