broken off lilies

I love my dogs, but sometimes they try my patience!! They were in the garden the other day and broke off two asiatics that are ready to bloom. I brought them inside and recut them and put them in water. The buds are tightly closed, I'm guessing they are 1 or 2 weeks away from blooming. Will they bloom inside or should I just put them in the compost pile?

I have purchased closed-bud lilies and they have bloomed so what have you got to lose? The foliage on them may help them get a little bigger before opening. I would make sure the water stays clean.
