You may have one of the trumpets. Most of them grow very tall. I have a stand that grows 6+ ft. tall. They don't usually need staking. The flower heads are heavy so the stalks lean sideway but they never break in the wind. 18 buds are exceptional. It sounds like it is in excellent conndition. Congrats.

Thanks for the info (and the nice compliment). I have a few of these lilies scattered in my yard and they scent is pretty amazing. Cutting on "bunch" of flowers usually is enough to scent a house for a few days so I really want to treat them right. Should I side dress a bit of "bulb boost" after the blooms fade?

Nah, no need for bulb boost, but additional compost won't hurt. Have fun.

4' something is medium sized compared to some of the trumpets and Orienpets. I have a Scherezade that is 7' tall, has 12 stems and about 25 flowers per stem. It is starting to bloom. I'll post some pictures in a few days.

No offense taken Lainey. Didn't even occur to me. Looking forward to seeing your pix. :-) I'll see if I can get a pic when the blooms start to open on mine. This particular lily has only main stem but many blooms coming off the leaf joints. (If that makes any sense.)
