I'm confused about the Tiger lily identification. Is
Lilium lancifolium and Lilium tigrinum the same lily?

thanks in advance

RE: Tiger lily identification

Lilium Tigrinum is a synonym for Lilium Lancifolium. Most of the time we probably use L. Tigrinum or L. Lancifolium to distinguish them from the common (and often despised) "ditch lilies" which are occasionally incorrectly referred to as tiger lilies, also.

sub-species of L. Lancifolium in cultivation include;
flaviflorum which has yellow flowers.
fortunei which is a large form with woolly stems, and
splendens a vigorous growing plant with noticeably larger flowers.
