Some ten years ago or so I made a small collection of lilies. I spent some years just hobby hybridizing and growing out seed.

I believe this to be one of mine:

Notice it is not well foliated (almost alternate foliage). Short, offsets readily and the anthers stick out past the stigma. I probably selected it because it was short in it's seed to flower time (maybe three years?). I'm wondering if it's not an asiatic x L. henryi hybrid. Henryi IS in the asiatic section and I did attempt that cross many times.

Anyway my neighbor gave me a lily that really impressed me so I crossed it and mine both ways.

These are the seedlings from that cross.

I wonder if they will exhibit the same tendency to bloom at an early age as well?
