Well bummer!

I don't "do" lilies....they don't like my garden...but I seem to have found a spot that has allowed a tall yellow asiatic to survive for 3 years.

I was anxiously awaiting it's bloom and went out this afternoon and every bud had a neat hole in it....

What does that??

linda, there's a red-colored beetle that sometimes gets to them. do you see anything like that in your garden?

Not seeing anything "buggy"... the only thing that seems evenly slightly chewed is the monarda.....and I figure.."Who cares?"...
But the lily...I CARE!!!

June bugs are emerging right now and they like to nibble on lilies as well. OR it could be that a caterpillar or worm ate its way into, or out of, the lily. Either way, Sevin powder is a good treatment if you don't mind using a chemical. (It degrades swiftly.)
