| Thank you again for your answer to my Tiger Lily question. But I have one more. I planted today, but the lily bulbs had pretty significant sprouts on them when I opened the package. I just didn't have the heart to bury the sprouts six inches deep, so they're poking up through the soil and a layer of mulch. Should I pull 'em up and really bury them deep? |

| Just the tip of the bulb itself - right below where the sprout starts, should be about 6" down. However, I really don't think it matters too much, and unless the bulb itself is just below the surface, I wouldn't dig them up and set them deeper. Over time as the bulb gets bigger it will pull itself down to where it wants to be. Tiger lilies don't seem to be particularly fussy. |
