I bought some Walmart bulbs

| Ok, so I fell for it and bought some lilies at Walmart. Of course, true to all that's been said this batch didn't come out what it was supposed to be. I bought Oriental Impression. Well, today I went outside and this HUGE, HUGE bloom was looking straight at me and the closer I got to it the sweeter it smelled! It is awesome!! Does anyone know what it is? It's definitely Oriental, white with a lime green throat. Whatever it is, it's the best one I've had yet.
I love looking at and drooling over each of your pics. Please post more!

| I second that. The orientals have the most fragrance, although fragrance has been bred into the new orienpet hybrids, too. Susan |

| Not Casa Blanca. Looks to be Pompei, which have deep yellow veins. A very nice Oriental lily. BTW Orienpet have fragrance because they are a hybrid crossing between Oriental and Trumpet Lilies. |

| Thank you for trying to help. I really think it has too much color to be Casa Blanca but I'd be thrilled to have that one since I don't. On the other hand I don't think it has enough yellow to be the pompei either. I thought pompei at first but it's more green than yellow. Care to try some more? I'd really like to name it but if I don't I still love it. :-) Nancy |

| Go to the Walmart where you puchased it. They may still have some lily packages left and you may find this particular lily pictured on one of their packages. Lilies often get mixed up at the point of packaging, It's just an idea. Hope it works. |

| Nancy, your Lily is gorgeous! I bought some called Gran Cru this year at Superstore. They were in a pack of 5 for $3.69 so I bought 6 packages because several years ago I boutght the same lily from Lilynook in Manitoba and paid around $3.00 per bulb. They havn't started blooming yet so I'm not sure that they will be what is on the picture but I hope so because several weeks ago I bought another 9 packages when they were clearing them out for $1.00 per pkg. They were so overgrown and bent in the small package I didn't even try to get any flowers, I just planted them and so far, although they are quite small, hopefully next year they will put on quite a show. |

| It also looks like the one I grow called 'Rodolfo'. It just opened its blooms yesterday. Now I have Rosario, Mojave, and Red Hot blooming. Mojave is about to finish. Red Hot is at its peak. I also have Casa Blanca, and the blooms should be opening any day now. The orientals and orienpets are my favs. I love the asiatics, but they don't (or I haven't found one yet) have fragrance. I really wish my cardiocrinum would bloom this year. The formosanum I got last year has 4 stalks on it, so I thought that was pretty good for a tiny little plant in a 2" container. Don't cha just love lilies? Susan |

Nancy as you say it is not either Casa Blanca or Pompei.
I think that it is 'Expression',maybe somebody has changed the name slightly?

| Rick, all of the pictures of expression I found have a tinge of pink. This one doesn't have any pink at all. Nancy |

Nancy,they only have a pink tinge in cold weather,otherwise they are pure white.

| Rich, I did check out the expression on that site and it looks just like mine. So I stand corrected. I guess it is the correct bulb after all. Thank you so much for your help. BTW, that was a great site! I hope to some day have many, many more lilies of all kinds. Nancy |
