what's this on my lily

I purchased this lily last year. This is the first time its blooming. Anyone know what these redish black balls on the stem/leaf joint are??? They are on all the leaf/stem joints. They aren't bugs. Sorry, I can't seem to get the picture in here. Haven't mastered it yet.

I would assume, without a picture, that they are bulbils. These will produce new plants if they drop and end up in the soil. I took a few last year, and pushed them down in my soil. They produced some nice plants this year that are going to bloom soon.
