Not sure but sounds interesting. How big of a pot is it in? Punk

The first year of planting forces the bulb to grow roots and a plant. Sometimes there isn't enough energy to do both. Once it dies back, unpot the bulb and check to be sure it is still firm and not exhibiting rot. (It is easy for potted lilies to receive too much water.) I prefer to grow lilies in clay pots as they allow rain to drain quicker. REplant this fall in the ground, if possible.
