Orange lilies grew white this year

Last year I planted orange blooms of lilies and they grew back this year completely white and I think they resemble the trumpet lily... someone gave me these flowers so I don't know exactly what kind. I have very acidic soil... is this why?

I have another set of orange lilies right next to them, but I think that kind is oriental and they grow orange every year.
