Calla lily bloom

Can any one help with a question? What do we do with the former flower of the calla lily? Do we cut it off? Thank you.

I THOUGHT I just responded to your post, but I can't find my response! Calla lilies are aroids, called zantedeschia aethiopica. So they aren't related to lilies at all. If you try the search feature (type in above), I bet someone on one of the other forums could help! :0) Phyl
