It's pretty late to be planting any lily much less Asiatics, which bloom in the spring. Since lilies don't go truly dormant, and I assume they've been dry in a box at room temp since December, they may not be viable. But lilies are pretty tough so some might work out.

At this point she doesn't have much to lose. I'd go ahead and plant them. Water them until moist so roots can start but don't soak them. They may wait to do something and you don't want to rot them while they are "pondering". If any come up this year, I'd leave the leaves but pinch off any buds if they appear, (the bulbs need to put all their energy into forming roots). Since you're in zone 8 they may have some time to build up before Fall. It's more likely that they won't come up this year and you'll have to wait until spring to see if they make it.
