containers for Orientals or Orienpets

Has anyone ever grown one of these in a container??

My Asiatics grow quite nicely in containers but the Orientals seem to be a bit larger. How large of a container do you think I might need?? I'm hoping to put one on a fairly small deck.

If you think Orientals are large, note that Orienpets are taller than 6' in my garden this year. Their stems at the base are about 1.5" in diameter. An appropriate pot for them will take your entire deck. There are some dwarf Orienpets though (Tarragona for example, grows to 3').

Also, you are in a similar zone as I am. Orientals are annuals for me even planted in the garden. If you are OK with this, there are lovely dwarf Orientals that will do well in pots.
Try LA lilies. Lots of smaller varieties. Very vigorous growers.
