scads if Oriental lilies in my garden are becoming Asiatics
? I dug up all the aisiatics, cuz I didn't like them, and restarted with Oriental, cuz I love the smell, well, the orientals seem to be disappearing, and Asiatics are coming in now instead. Don't tell me I am dreaming, or someone is replacing, cuz I am the only one here, and the Asiatics get more prolific all the time, and I am down to a couple Orientals, when I had just tons of them before.
I am going to redig all the A ones and replant with O, am just sick over this, noticed it starting last year, and has become worse this year. is there anyone else out there with even a similar problem?

You probably missed some bulbs when you dug out the asiatics and now they have grown to blooming size and are reproducing. They are also a much more prolific and vigorous plant than the orientals. In many area Orientals tend to be short-lived. They are not as forgiving of growing conditions which don't meet their exacting standards, the Prima Donnas of the lily world so to speak.
