Hi,

I've never grown lilies before but ordered the oriental lily "Muscadet"--ordered it late--early June--but the nursery said that it would be ok if they were planted immediately. They had all sprouted when I planted them. The lilies are in different areas of the yard, but in all cases they are very short, about a foot and a half (all of them the same height). Some have buds, but others do not. Two have brown, burned looking leaves at the top.

Do you all feel that the low height is the result of planting them so late? Will they come back strong next year? What would account for the brown tops?

I am completely inexperienced w/lilies. Any advice you can provide will be much appreciated.
