Yeah, catalog descriptions can be confusing as "growers" attempt to market a variety to the best of their abilities not really paying attention to how they really grow in variable situations.

'Lollipop' has been around for a few years now both as a cut flower variety and a garden plant. From my own personal experience, 'Lollipop' gets to about 2-3 feet in the ground or pot outdoors. In greenhouse production or really rich, well amended soil with ample fertilizer, I've seen them up to 4ft+ feet.

When planting them in the border, I'd plant them in groups of 3 or 5 sort of near the middle of the bed. Lilies benefit from having their roots and bulb cool while the tops are out in full sun/part shade.

I would subtract 15% from the advertized height of any Lily and plant then accordingly. I agree with "azng".. growers use the greenhouse size.

I am located in Zone 3 with short summer weather my lolly grew up to about 12-18 inches and normally it blooms for about a months with subsequent flowers dying and new blooms emerges. I have a large patch of this asiatic and lovely when it matures and quite showy when it blooms in a big clump. Will send you pictures via email.

I have Lolipop for 3 years.
They multiply as a rabbits and original older bulbs producing 3.5 to 4' tall stalks in unammended clay with no fertilizer ever. Probably because of neglect, stems are not that thick, but still strong enough to stay almost upright and support 10-15 flowers each one of them produces.
I'd rather prefer them to lean toward the sun since flowers are up facing.
