Dear Crinium lily guy,
You are growing giant spider lilies. You find yhem in Hawaii and Mexico every were. They are easy to take the pups that grow around the base and put them in some moist soil. I've never seen any for sale. I usually start them from seed which I poach every time I go to Mex or hawaii. When yours flower let the flower die off then watch the little stems off the big stem from the plant start to swell. It can take up to about a moth after the flowers dry of till the seeds grow big enough to take off the plant. Then you let them dry out. After they dry lay them on top off some moist soil. It takes another month before they grow. Keep them moist. They look best as a single plant.I have one by itself that has a base 20 inches around. They look great with plumerias if you like the tropical look. You can also find them in red. Good Luck,

I bought a pot at a yard sale a few years ago, didn't know what it was 'til I found a photo on davesgarden.com. It's been a great, easy, plant. Multiplies like crazy-it's part of my plant sale every year. My only warning is - Be sure to put down a barrier below the soil several inches deep to keep them contained within the area you have planned or they WILL invade other areas!!! I have a few here I didn't sell because we had sooo much rain I never got around to having my plant sale.
