Definately your zone, hence weather, will affect the bloom time for your lilies. Orientals are usually the last to bloom.

Hi - I am also in 5A, and so far, the variance in bloomtime based on what the seller describes has been at most about 2 weeks. You need to check where the seller is, of course, and compare from that, assuming they grow their own plants, such as The Lily Garden. Lilies such as Scheherezade and Black Beauty are some of the later bloomers. But, it is still not 100% reliable, depending on what the overall weather patterns are. The 2 I listed are usually early August bloomers, but with the weather being so hot very early in my neck of the woods, they are done blooming already !

Good point about how hot it gets. It has been a cooler spring/summer here for sure. Also good to know that orientals are usually last. That's what I was thinking.

I put together an album of nothing but lilies! Bloom times , names, and helpful comments on each pic. As you can see 'black beauty' bloomed last 7/26 .

I am also in zone 5a like you. Many of the lily heights will increase next year as many new ones were planted within the last year.

Wish I had an album like this when I was deciding which ones to get... hope it helps:)
