Madonna Lily Exposed!

palmfan

I have a vigorous clump of Madonna Lilies growing next to a large Brugmansia shrub in my New Jersey garden. The plant is almost evergreen, growing strap leaves in August, and the flowering shoot emerges in mid winter. I just noticed that about an inch of the main bulb is above the soil line. Do I need to be concerned? The soil here is already higher than the level of the driveway, so I am reluctant to pile on more. Should I add a little mulch? Should I replant it deeper? [I DO hate to disturb it!]
