Best lilies for South?

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum, but maybe someone will take pity on me and help!

I would really like to grow some lilies with my roses, but I'm not sure which kinds would really do well in our hot, humid climate.

I've been browsing at John Scheepers, and I'd like to try a wide variety. I planted some Stargazers this year that did really well, but I'm not sure how well they perennialize here.

So what's my best bet? Orientals? Asiatics? LA Hybrids? Orienpets? Species? Any suggestions?
