Last year I lost some of my oriental lillies. I don'tknow if it was just not surviving the winter in my raised bed or do Orientals have a short life span. My thinking is I'll dig them this fall and put them in pots in my unheated garage for the winter. Does anyone have thoughts on this.

RE: lilies

Oriental Lilies are not long lived for me. Very few have survived more than 3 years in my garden.
Many people have expressed the same experience.
I have given up on them and have not added any new ones in several years.

Lilies that have lived in my garden for more than 20 years are trumpets. They also multiply readily and reliably.
