If you can go to a local florist and find a blooming lily stem, they will have a prime example of a flower's reproductive parts.

Basically, the little rusty brown pollen sacs release pollen and that pollen has to go to another flower and land on the pistil to begin fertilization. After several weeks, the ovary swells and forms the seed pod which bears the seeds (if fertilization is successful)
