Orienpet lilies in Louisiana?

I would like to send a nice bulb of Godzilla to someone living in Louisiana but don't know if it can be successfully grown there. Are there any Louisianans here who successfully grow these outdoors or anyone who knows that they cannot be grown that far south?

Hi Pat,
As far as I know, all Lilies need vernalization for about 400 hours every winter to bloom. They will probably grow there, but they will not bloom. I do not think Lilies do well in zones higher than 8.
