care of Calla Lilies

I was gifted with a Calla Lily. I planted it out in the flower bed this summer. In August the dog ran through the garden,broke off all the lily leaves. Now is is just a bulb again with a small white root. How should I plant it? Do I let it dry a bit or just put it into a pot? It will freeze into ? this winter as it gets below zero!!

I am really impressed as to their beauty and don't want to lose it! Need HELP!!

You have to lift it and store it in some cold (above freezing temperature though) and dry place. Plant it back in spring. In your zone, it might make sense to start it indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost.

Also, Callas are not true Lilies. They are Aroids. If you have more questions, post them on Aroids forum.

Befor LAST frost, not FIRST frost. You do not need pot it for winter storage. Just wrap it with newspaper and store it in the garage or basement (where colder than inside the house, but not below freezing).
