Spider lily advice

Scott Z8 CenTex

I have a dozen or so spider lily bulbs that have been sitting in my garage refrigerator for a while that need to get planted. When/where is the best place to plant? I have heard they work well under trees so they get winter sun but summer partial shade. I assume fall is a decent time to plant but would like to hear from others who have had luck with these in central Texas.

Also, do you think storing them in the fridge for several months could have ruined them? I think I did that because I read that they could be stored in a cold, dry, dark place... Thanks for any thoughts.
