Look what I just received from Buggy Crazy!
I was totally bowled over when I first saw them. They are the largest lily bubls I have ever received from any vendor.
I was totally surprised to also receive a bonus bulb. Check this out!
A bonus lily bulb:

I ordered 3 Lilium henryi:

3 Lilium martagon:

3 Lilium lankongense:

The species are also slightly larger than those I received from Van Engelen. But VE does not carry these specific lilies, though.

I can't wait to see all these bulbs in bloom next summer...that is if the species will bloom the first spring...:-)

That's par for the course from Buggycrazy. She has got to have the most loyal customers ever known. They all look very healthy and you can see they were just dug, too. Can't get any fresher than that.

Species lily bulbs are almost always small in comparison to hybrids. Some may never get more than 1.5 inches in diameter. Be sure to get those martagons in the ground right away.

Martagons seem to settle in better if they are smaller bulbs anyway.

Thanks for the advice. I planted them all today.
They really looked freshly dug up.
When I first attempted to buy lily bulbs from Buggy Crazy several years ago, I was not well acquainted with the bidding process, so I quit doing it. Wish I had someone explain to me the process. Otherwise I would have a good collection from Buggy Crazy by now.
