Is this lilly of the valley?

I found some dried up gray leaves in my backyard (just bought the house so I don't know what I have yet) and I wonder if this is lilly of the valley that has gone dormant after the bloom. The leaves are the right shape and there are maybe 4 or 5 of them on gray stems (6 inches) fanned out, laying on the ground. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hard to say, but I don't think it's LOV simply because what you have has too many leaves. The morphology of the lily of the valley consists of a pair of elliptically shaped leaves with the flower stalk between the two shiny leaves.

Also, even here in much colder zone 4, my lily of the valley is still green and won't mush and flatten out until the first hard freeze - they don't go dormant or die back after blooming.
