Happy holidays to all. I posted this at the Allium forum but just in case... Years ago, I was trying to establish a chive patch and had sent for different kinds from different suppliers. A newbie at the time plus in a new town, how was I to know people will give some to you simply because they always have too much! Well, with all my experiments, one year I got a small clump of chives growing and it flowered but instead of the usual mauve or pink flower, it was a tiny white lily whith the most heavenly scent. My neighbor smelled it also and thought the same, all this to say I did not imagine it. The next spring, I cleaned that patch too diligently and obliterated whatever was there. I started to grow garlic chives and forgot about the "lily". Don't know why but that perfume has been haunting me these past few weeks and I would love to plant some again next spring. Does someone know such a plant? Thank you. Degarden
