Everything is ready to plant my water-grown gift lb. All the roots are at the very tip of the cut surface. Should I plant it at this depth, or if I put another joint underground will it grow roots at that point also, and be more stable in the soil? Now there is only about 1/2 to 1" thick tangled mass of roots because the cut ends were sitting on the bottom of the container. Since there is about 15-20 3-6" stalks in this container, I want to divide it into 2 pots. I hope a few broken roots will not hurt the stalks. Any suggesions on the safe depth to plant?? Tks
