Are you growing your dracaena in water or in soil?

Rhizo, it was in water, and as an update, I was not able to save the plant, it was in bad shape and today I took three stem cuttings and dumped the yellowing stalks. When I tried to remove the gravel, the pot was completely filled with roots, to the point that I had difficulty emptying the pot. Was this this problem? Lack of space for roots to grow in a healthy manner? Thanks

I'd hesitate to say what the problem might have been. These plants aren't aquatic plants, and probably can't be expected to live that way forever. However, I suspect that the fish emulsion might been a problem. Roots can also be trimmed occasionally. This encourages the development of lots of new roots...something that all container grown plants require (in soil OR water).
