I took a cutting of my bamboo because the TOP of the bamboo was yellowing on one side and then long, black streaks ( had a sand-like texture) started to grow on top of the yellowing side. I cut below the yellowing stuff, and the rest of the plant looks healthy. Any tips with what to do with the healthy bottom?(seal it? leave it to dry???) Anyway, I'll post the url of where the pics are if anyone is interested. Please help!!!

Also, what does anyone think caused it, what it is...or what the chances of survival are for the top part I am trying to root??? THANKS!!!
