 o
New Growth on some, but not others

After a blazing hot summer by even St. Louis standards, most of my Japanese Maples are pushing some serious new growth. Its as if my maples are experiencing a second spring. The trees that have serious new growth are shishigashira, a couple bloodgoods, a Sharp's Pygmy, koto hime and a kiyo hime. My other trees, Golden Full Moon, an autumn moon, orangeola, green cascade, oshio beniand a few others look like they are getting ready for fall. Is this normal?
