| Can anyone tell me the real difference between the true Acer Truncatum and the hybrid Pacific Sunset? I know it is a Norway/Shantung cross but what about their root systems, differing sizes, breakage, nutritional needs and such?
I cannot seem to find the real thing here in Medford, Oregon only the Pacific Sunset. No wait, one place says they have the true Truncatum but until it leafs out I don't know how to tell if it truly is. |

| Nutritional needs are basic and shouldn't really differ between different Maple cultivars. As for their specifics I recommend doing a quick search on Google. I tried to attach some good links for the two but Gardenweb wouldn't allow me to. -Mike |
