| I bought dwarf japanese maple "Butterfly". Young leaves are furled and show white edges. However, they unfurl as they grow but they completely loose white edge and are completely green. Is that normal? This is my first time growing japanese maple. |

| Not a dwarf, grows at least several yards high in time. Leaves should not be turning all green. As with other variegated forms all-green branches may pop out here and there, cutting these out should be undertaken if their leaves remain all green from year to year. |
