Name that Japanese Maple...Two Sango Kakus but One is an imposter

I purchased two Sango Kakus during the winter from two different stores and one seems to be an imposter. After One full season I noticed they had different attributes. One seemed to be very upright while the others limbs were spread wide. Once they leafed out in the spring, one was a brite neon green while the other was dull. The difference showed up once fall came. One trees' leaves turned a bright yellow/ green while the other was fire red. Both always kept the RED bark. What do you think? If the second tree I speak of is not a Sango Kaku, then what is it?

PS. Even the leaf shape is different. One has 7 jagged edge lobes and the other has 5 fat lobes.
