A. palmatum 'Nuresagi' sounds interesting, old time cultivar, anybody grow?. Suppossed to be upward growing, developing interesting bark that is unusual for palmatum. Leaves come out different looking? Leaves get almost black in spring? ... that different from 'Bloodgood' or not? Nice red fall color?
I presume it doesn't hold the dark reddish color all summer or it would be more common. I think seasonal changes spring/summer/autumn are more interesing than the idea of the tree looking reddish all the time IMO.
Similar hardiness like other dark reddish types?
