| I am really not sure which one to plant, Johin or Yasemin? The location is full sun from about 10am on. I will be able to see the tree when looking out my window, so color and growth pattern are also important considerations to me.
I love the spring colors on Johin's leaves, but I don't know how well that green middle vein and deep red hold up in the summer. On the other hand the leave shape and color of Yasemin is definitely also appealing. Does anybody have more experience with the two, for example, how do their summer colors compare? How is their growth habit in general. I am currently leaning towards Johin, because I like the green/red spring color, and, I admit, I am swayed by the description of it being an elegant grower. Maybe I am just falling for good marketing? LOL Please let me know if you have experience with any of them, or with both.

| In full sun Yasemin fades, I dont like it any better than most Bloodgood seedlings. Leave shape is not special in my view either. I would Rather have Bloodgood. Mine is only 4' so I cant say about shape. David |
