Probably still on winter break. Not a maple (Acer), rather a hibiscus relation called Abutilon.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I looked up some things about the Abutilon, but do you have any suggestions on how I should go about its long stem so that it doesnt grow much more in height? Should I try repotting it now before spring? Thanks Again!

temps are about 3* Celsius, 4* C , 8* Celsius etc.
is it going to freeze?

Yes, I'd be bringing the plant in if I were you ... temps are getting pretty cool in the northern locations now.

Hey I just bought some flowering maples last month at the Botanical gardens and they are doing great but they need alot of water. i soak them every other day because they droop and perk up again . :)
