| Hello all,
I have two grown maple trees that I just discovered to be infested with ants. Ants seem to be crawling up and down the tree constantly. But the trees look healthy otherwise; should I be worried and should I be killing the ants? Thanks! |

| Bleeding happens in the spring so I presume that is what the ants are going for so I wouldn't worry unless they find themselves in your house. |

| You likely have some sort of honeydew-producing insect in the tree. The most common is aphids. But may also be scale. |
