Hi all,

We have a maple tree in our back yard that isn't doing too well. Here are the symptoms;

-bark pealing off of some of the limbs

-late and uneven leafing

-a few of the branches seem to be dying back

-it's sending out shoots/suckers all over the place

I have no idea how old the tree is and we've only lived here for 2 years. Last year it did much better than it's doing so far this year.

Here are a couple of photos... Note the contrast to the tree on the other side of the house which also happens to be a maple.

So the question: Is this tree dying of age or is there something wrong with it that we can correct?
