Replacing female October Glory

I planted a October Glory maple last year early summer, so I didn't know if it was male or female. Now that it is blossoming it has female flowers and samaras. I'm thinking I would like to remove it and replace it with a male. It is still small (6-7 ft) so it wouldn't be a big loss. Is this a big deal? I'd hate to waste a perfectly good tree but I don't want to PO my neighbors years down the road when they have thousands of samaras blowing over their lawns and germinating. They all have lawns that look like golf_courses. Should I even bother replacing it?
